Baked Banana Parcels

baked banana parcels

This recipe is taken from Ari Eats. If you haven’t checked out her blog I highly recommend it. These baked banana parcels make for the perfect winter dessert, and allow for so much variation. I often have left over dried fruit and nut mix from the bulk bins which work perfectly with dark chocolate chips.

1 banana

1 t cinnamon

1 T dark organic chocolate

1 T crushed nuts (macadamia, almonds and/or hazelnuts)

Step one:
Preheat oven to 190 degrees on bake.

Step two:
Peel banana and slice it in half lengthwise. Lay on tin foil. Sprinkle with cinnamon, arrange with cinnamon, dark organic chocolate and crushed nuts.

Step three:
Wrap the foil around the banana to form a parcel, put on a baking tray and place in the oven baking for 15 minutes.

Step four:
Transfer parcel from oven to plate and serve.

You can use any arrangement of ingredient including sugar free marshmallow, dark agave or just keep it simple by just sprinkling cinnamon.

Thanks for the recipe Ari, it’s one of my favourites!! So simple and such a clean treat.
